Bobbi Kay Nelson has over 30 years of experience in Federal and State income taxation. She prides herself on providing premier client service by working closely with her clients and helping them find paths to success. Bobbi Kay’s experience includes substantial time with Big 10 and large regional accounting firms. She is skilled in the taxation of partnerships, corporations, S-corporations, and individuals. In addition to State and Federal income tax planning and compliance services, Bobbi Kay also has extensive knowledge of sales and use tax (SALT), New Mexico gross receipts and compensating tax, Federal and State incentives and credits, and property tax. Bobbi Kay has assisted clients with cost segregation studies, managed audits, refund claims, audit defense engagements, nexus studies, credit filings, and numerous other types of specialty tax engagements.

Bobbi Kay’s clients include businesses and individuals in New Mexico and throughout the United States, most commonly in Arizona, Colorado, Texas, and California. Bobbi Kay is a frequent speaker on State and local tax issues affecting businesses. She is a member of both the New Mexico Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. 

Bobbi Kay is a native New Mexican who believes in growing the local economy and capitalizing on its opportunities. She is a proud Lobo having graduated from the University of New Mexico, and she is active in the community through CREW New Mexico (Commercial Real Estate Women), Associated General Contractors of New Mexico, NAIOP NM, the Junior League of Albuquerque, and United Way’s Women United. In 2019, Bobbi Kay was asked to serve on the Governor of New Mexico’s Tax Practitioner Advisory Committee.
